    “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Of boards and councils you may talk,
Of clubs and committees,
But I know a place not far from here,
To match the best of these.
‘Tis where the boys of Ballinto’er
Who number not a few,
Doth love to meet for converse sweet
At “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Chorus:
At “Johnny’s Rendezvous”
At “Johnny’s Rendezvous,”
They love to meet for converse sweet
At “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

No local press has Ballinto’er,
But each and all who choose
From day to day, with nought to pay
Can learn its latest news
And much beside, from far and wide,
If they their way pursue
Across the town and saunter down
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Chorus:
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous”
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous,”
Across the town and saunter down
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Now, soon we’ll have on Irish soil
[missing line?]
To meet, debate, and legislate,
As in the days of yore;
If Ireland then wants ??? men
All she’s got to do
Is send for wit and talent fit
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Chorus:
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous”
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous,”
She’s send for wit and talent fit
To “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Is seems to me since Ballinto’er
To such repute has grown
It well may claim, by right of fame,
A member of its own.
Then proud the man may be who can
Append his name unto
“M.P.”, “T.C.” or “P.L.G.”
For “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”

Chorus:
For “Johnny’s Rendezvous”
For “Johnny’s Rendezvous,”
“M.P.”, “T.C.” or “P.L.G.”
For “Johnny’s Rendezvous.”
